The EZ16 doesn’t need an expert operator. With minimal setup your EZ16 will be ready to roll – and you can leave the room without worry. The EZ16 is designed to stop automatically if it senses a change in tension.
We use computer vision to develop an objective analysis of the state of your film. Our AI detects perforation integrity, shrinkage, stretch, and edge deviation, then builds a condition report on your film, offering a detailed assessment of damage. The AI also controls the transport, making the EZ16 suitable for film in any condition. Fun fact: the motors in the EZ16 were first developed for hoverboards!

Similar to the Movie crop except the video shows edge-to-edge overscan so archivists and others can examine edge codes, edge damages, sprockets, type of sound, etc. To show the film’s real condition, AI stabilization is not applied
This is the camera’s full field of view including two adjacent film frames. Overlays can be applied to identify frame numbers, time, and Reel ID (film’s unique identifier)
Film Condition Reports are developed automatically by the EZ16. They include the Reel ID, any operator observations like odor, and detailed analysis made by our AI, including lengthwise and lateral shrink/stretch, vertical and horizontal perforation distortion, and edge damage. The Condition Reports also include technical metadata for importing into your systems to help catalogue and archive efficiently
