Can mediaSaaS replace just part of my current system?
Sure. We deploy in parallel with your current system so you can choose which part to replace, or replace multiple parts in a number of controlled phases
Can mediaSaaS replace my current legacy MAM system?
Yes. Our functionality fully covers that of legacy systems and offers many additional features too
Does the mediaSaaS platform require Oracle licences?
No, we use PostgreSQL
Can you utilise my current browse files?
No. Trying to do this has caused many problems in the past so we generate our own browse files as a background scavenge task
Do your browse files have scrub audio?
Yes. Our cloud browse files have scrub audio and are frame accurate too
Where are my files stored?
Browse files are stored in the cloud, enabling access anywhere. Hi-res files will be stored on-prem for the vast majority of our customers, but can of course be stored in cloud if preferred
Do my browse files need to be stored on AWS?
No we can use any cloud storage that utilises an S3-compliant interface
Do you support source timecode?
Yes. Some customers require this so its configurable when we set up your instance
Do you interface with archive HSMs?
Yes we integrate currently with DIVArchive and XenData. If you wish we can replace your legacy HSM and provide direct control of robotic tape machines
What NLEs do you support?
We provide full integration with Adobe Premiere Pro. For customers using Avid we can provide a fully integrated solution using Marquis Medway
What Business Management Systems do you interface with?
We are partners with MediaGenix and MSA Focus and are pre-integrated using their APIs to receive placeholder clip info and update the systems with media status and actual durations.
How long does it take to deliver an instance?
Instances not requiring any development work can be delivered in 7 days once the required tunnels have been set up in your firewall. Where development is required we will quote fixed timescales to deliver
I still use VTRs. Can you provide me with a platform?
The mediaSaaS platform is solely file based but for customers who still use VTRs we can provide a fully integrated third party VTR control app.
I use Flexicarts to access my videotape archive. Do you support Flexicart ingest?
The mediaSaaS platform is solely file based but for customers required Flexicart ingest we can provide a fully integrated third party Flexicart control app that writes directly into our database.
